The Wise Eye Reading Program was established in the year 2000.
- Wise Eye consists of a selected group of independent practitioners (Principal Members) who serve the public in more than 30 locations in South Africa and Namibia.
- Independent practitioners (Principal Members) include people from various educational backgrounds, e.g. optometrists, psychologists, child kineticists, occupational therapists, teachers, parents, etc.
- Principal Members are trained in the Wise Eye program, equipping them to operate as either Wise Eye therapists themselves, or to employ trained Wise Eye therapists.
- Principal Members are in general approached by individuals as well as schools to assist in the improvement of reading skills.

to be one of the most successful of its kind!!
